As fun as our film 'Fairy Folk' was to make, the challenges we faced as a truly independent production ranged from testing to downright crippling. But we somehow made it through, only to confront the beast of all beasts - distribution. While we managed a limited theatrical release in March 2024, the film unfortunately had to be pulled from cinemas just as word of mouth was gaining momentum. Additionally (and more importantly), as of 2024, digital platforms aren’t considering independent films like ours any more. It’s not just tough getting their attention; it's impossible. So, here we are - on our own little website, distributing our film at any price YOU feel is right.
Thank you for considering supporting our little film; it means the world to us!

Thorny questions of love and sexuality take centre stage in this magical realist drama in which a genderless woodland being crashes into the lives of a jaded couple
"Fairy Folk" presents a captivating modern fairytale where Ritika, played by Rasika Dugal (Mirzapur, Delhi Crime, Out of Love) and Mohit, played by Mukul Chadda (The Office, Sherni, Sunflower), isolated in a remote location, encounter a mysterious being capable of profound transformations. This being forms unique bonds with those who show it kindness, initiating a series of experiences that complicate their relationship dynamics. Directed by Karan Gour, the film eschews traditional dialogues, allowing the narrative to unfold through spontaneous interactions among the cast. This improvisational approach enriches the film with authenticity and dynamic interactions, effectively exploring themes of identity, connection, and the complexities of human relationships.
Critically acclaimed for its innovative storytelling, "Fairy Folk" blends fantasy elements with a deep examination of personal and relational evolution. According to NDTV, the absence of scripted dialogues adds a layer of realism that heightens the emotional impact, adding it’s “unlike anything you would’ve seen before”. Similarly, Film Companion praises the film as "playful and poignant," particularly highlighting its fresh perspective on personal relationships. This combination of fantasy and emotional depth offers audiences a unique and thought-provoking cinematic experience, marking it as a significant work in modern filmmaking.
